The beloved Croton Falls steakhouse -- it won our 2017 DVlicious "Best Steakhouse in Westchester" contest -- will end its run on Sunday, Oct. 29 but not before serving its regular brunch and hosting a special customer appreciation party.

Brunch is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m; the customer party will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

At that time, said Co-Owner Jim Stake, he and Liam Harvey, his business partner, will announce the new owner.

The owner  -- Stake cannot disclose who it is -- will keep the space a restaurant but most likely change the vibe, name, and menu.

As for Stake and Harvey, the two plan to return to their roots  -- Stake hopes to go back into acting while Harvey, an organization consultant, will most likely do consulting.

"We're still figuring out what we want to be when we grow up," said Stake.

He did add that they are handing over the reigns to someone who cares as much as the area as they did.  Said Stake: "The new proprietor promises to do good things for the community."

In the meantime, expect business as usual at Croton Creek until the end of the month.
