Hackers Can Target Vulnerable Samsung Phones, Report Says

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – A Chicago-based cybersecurity firm says some 600 million Samsung Galaxy phones are susceptible to a vulnerability in the company's software, leaving it open for hackers, according to a report from CNN Money.

NowSecure says that it contacted the company about the software flaw in November after researchers tested every model of the Galaxy now on the market. As nothing had been done in a few months, the firm went public with its findings, CNN Money reported.

The flaw covers Samsung Galaxy models S3 to the current S6, the website noted.
