Create Your Own Board Game At Somers Library

SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Somers Library will offer the "Create Your Own Board Game" program on Monday, July 18.

This program is designed for students entering the sixth through ninth grades. Creative writing teacher Kim Kovach will guide participants through brainstorming ideas, concept development and design in this fun 90-minute program.

The program will give kids the opportunity to combine design, problem-solving skills and creative writing to invent a new board game based on a favorite book or series.

The basic art supplies will be provided by the library. Students can take their games home to add finishing touches.
