Hackensack Bicyclist Hospitalized After Truck Crash In Hasbrouck Heights

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- A 39-year-old Hackensack man was hospitalized with leg and foot injuries after his bicycle collided with a Mack roll-off truck in Hasbrouck Heights.

The bicyclist was riding east down Passaic Street from Wood-Ridge against the traffic around the circle on the southwest side when he was struck, Detective Lt. Michael Colaneri told Daily Voice.

The trucker "was looking left for oncoming traffic and didn't see him," Colaneri said.

An EMS unit took him to Hackensack University Medical Center.
