Halloween Hotspot Sleepy Hollow Entertains Fright Seekers From All Over

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y --  No one in Westchester does Halloween like Sleepy Hollow. And it is for this very reason that the village drews fright seekers from around the state on Friday.

“It’s a nice little town,” said Leon Treyger. “Plus the legend!”

Treyger came all the way from Jackson Heights in Queens just to look for the Headless Horseman and check out the local Halloween parade.

Karen Civarelli has lived in Sleepy Hollow for years and calls it a "Mecca" for Halloween lovers.

Students from the Morse School marched out of their school and over to Beekman Avenue and around the block, as the Sleepy Hollow High School marching band played Halloween hits like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

Kids weren’t the only ones dressed up, as adults also walked the streets in full costume, while local businesses spooked up their storefronts and let their employees don alternative identities for the day.

The gang at Tompkins Mahopac Bank at 49 Beekman Ave. dressed up as Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompas and decked the bank out like magical candy land.
