SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Hudson Bells will perform at the Somers Library on Sunday, May 22, in the library's program room.
The Hudson Bells are a women's choral group who sing three and four-part harmony, both a cappella and with piano accompaniment. Their wide-ranging repertoire includes American songbook standards, jazz classics, Broadway favorites and contemporary pop tunes.
The Bells also offer their own original brand of irreverent musical humor. Their musical director is Kinny Landrum, who is a composer, arranger, producer and keyboardist. He has worked with Leonard Bernstein and Carly Simon, among others.
Registration for this free concert is not required, but seating is limited. Seating will be on a first-come, first-seated basis. There will be no reserved seating for late arrivals.
The concert, sponsored by the Friends of the Somers Library, will be from 2- 3 p.m. For additional information, call the library at (914)- 232-5717.
The library is at Route 139 and Reis Park, Somers.
