Enchanted Castle Offers Up Halloween Fun In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Bridgeport Hospital Auxiliary will present The Enchanted Caste: A Magical Storybook Experience from Oct. 24 to 31. 

The Enchanted Castle, set up at the Burr Homestead in Fairfield, offers up costumed fun for Halloween for the little ones all while helping a good cause.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. weekdays beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27. Admission is $5 per person. The castle will be closed on Oct. 26.

It is located at 739 Old Post Road and held at The Burr Homestead in Fairfield. 

The Enchanted Castle is entertaining and friendly for both children and adults. This year, the castle celebrates its 22nd appearance, and it has not aged a day.

With its colorful storybook-themed rooms and friendly costumed characters, The Enchanted Castle provides a non-threatening, entertaining Halloween experience for young children. The event includes:

• Costumed characters

• Fantasy-filled storybook theme rooms

• Tricks and treats

Guests can tour fantasy rooms and interact with characters from "Aladdin," "Beauty and the Beast," and the "Wizard of Oz," among others.

Proceeds from The Enchanted Castle benefit Ahlbin Centers for Rehabilitation.

The event is chaired by auxiliary members Debbie Charles and Shaun Amberg, both from Fairfield.
