Driver injured in Paramus Route 17 rollover

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A driver was taken by Paramus ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening juries after her Ford Escape rolled on southbound Route 17, hitting a pedestrian walkway.

Paramus police, EMS and Fire Company #1 also responded to the crash just before 10:30 a.m. beneath the Ridgewood Avenue underpass south of Barnes and Noble.

Traffic was restricted to two lanes while the crash was cleared. Rubbernecking contributed to delays on both sides of the highway.

A flatbed tow truck removed the Ford Escape.

A report of another vehicle’s possible involvement couldn’t immediately be confirmed.
