Multi-Vehicle Crash Partially Closes PA 581

A crash along 581 has slowed traffic to a stand still for miles, even closing the highway in some areas, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

A multi-vehicle crash was reported on PA 581 westbound, starting at Exit 3 US 11- Carlisle Pike on Friday just before 8 a.m.

The crashed closed all westbound lanes, and traffic was being redirected by crews on the scene.

Traffic slowed to a near stand still for three exits for over an hour.

No word on any injuries or the number of vehicles involved has been released.
