Anthony Firicano got into an argument with a man at his North End apartment building after the man's friend was making noise while moving a couch, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said.

Firicano threatened to shoot and kill the man and his friend for causing a disturbance before he punched the man in the face and threw him down a set of stairs, the office said. The man broke several bones in both of his legs, which required surgery, authorities said.

The district attorney's office said Firicano has a history of making threats. People said he's threatened to shoot them or beat them up, and he's also threatened to blow up buildings in his neighborhood during disputes, officials said.

Firicano is also known for hosting a YouTube series called "North End Stories." The videos range from tours of Firicano's upbringing in the North End to conversations with his grandmother.

“The injuries inflicted by this brutal attack will affect this victim’s life for a long time, and the psychological impacts could last even longer," Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a press release. "The fact that the person responsible is a court officer is deeply concerning. The work of any law enforcement officer is to protect people, not endanger them."

Prosecutors asked for a $15,000 bond, but the judge set Firicano's bail at $1,000, the district attorney's office said. He must also turn over any firearms to police, avoid contact with the victim and any potential witnesses, and attend anger management classes.
