The exhibit features objects and garments worn by the Japanese Samurai, a warrior class dating back to the 12th Century.

Items on display include full-body armor, helmets, face masks and rifles. The exhibit also showcases kimonos, traditional Japanese women’s robes.

“We are pleased to bring these remarkable objects to Westchester,” Darsie Alexander, executive director of the mjuseum, said in a press release. “In addition to the themes of honor and endurance that were so much a part of the Samurai, the exhibition underscores the extraordinary sense of style that pervaded their culture. These would be stunning works of design in any era.”

The Katonah Museum of Art will be the final stop of “Lethal Beauty.”

The exhibit was curated by Andreas Marks, head of the Japanese and Korean art department at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

The Katonah Musuem of Art is at 134 Jay St.

Museum hours are Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
