Lorenze's inspiration for her interior and still life paintings comes in moments of unexpected color and the intricate patterns of familiar objects. She has been invited to paint at American Impressionist George Laurence Nelson's studio Seven Hearths and historic homes locally and in San Francisco. Lorenze graduated Purchase College and studied further at New York Academy of Art, the Art Students League and in workshops with Abbey Ryan and Quang Huang.
