Somers Invites Residents To Help In Fall Clean-Up Of Town

SOMERS, N. Y. -- Somers residents looking to do their part keeping the town clean are invited to participate in the first town-wide fall cleanup event.

Participants can pick up the official orange bags and gloves at Somers Town Center, Somers Library (pictured) or Somers Town House.

Planned for Oct. 24 through Nov. 8, the effort is meant to spruce up areas along roads by removing litter and debris. Participants can pick up the official orange bags and gloves at Somers Town Center, Somers Library or Somers Town House.

Somers officials recommend participants wear bright clothes and be careful along roadways. Full orange bags, securely closed, can be left on the side of the road.
