Somers' Lasdon Park Plant Auction Set For Sunday

SOMERS, N.Y. -- From perennials to rare flowers, trees, shrubs and vegetables, hundreds of plants will be up for bidding at Somers' Lasdon Park this Sunday.

In celebration of National Garden Club Week, the Lasdon Park Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers is set to host a plant auction from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The event promises to feature hundreds of plants through live and silent auctions as well as visits from local garden club members and a special appearance from Mount Pleasant author and horticulturalist Ruth Rogers Clausen. 

The garden shop known as the Shop at Lasdon will be open and snacks and beverages will also be on sale in the shop. Proceeds from Sunday's auction will benefit special projects at the park including the Conservatory Project and the Westchester County Veterans Museum. Admission and parking are free and the event will be held rain or shine.
