During this four-session workshop, taught by professor Mark Cassata, students will discover an invaluable skill for better painting.
Tinted drawing, originally developed by artists of the Renaissance as an aid to oil painting, was the forerunner of watercolor. Using this method, sketches were shaded in with only one or two washes.
Participants are asked to bring materials to the first class. A material list is at the library. Class size is limited and registration is required. There is a $20 donation to the Friends of the Somers Library to offset cost of the class. Payment will confirm registration. Preference will be given to Somers residents. A Somers library card is required.
To register, call the library at 914-232-5717.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Somers Library.
