SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Somers Women's Club will host a special evening for potential new members that will feature an informational session about the club on April 9 at 7 p.m. at the Somers Library in Reis Park.
The meeting is open to all women of Somers and surrounding communities that do not have a women's club. Women of all ages are invited to attend to learn more about the club and enjoy a full “tea” with all the trimmings. There will also be a flower arranging demonstration given by local florist Heather Maguire.
The Women's Club was organized in 1972 and is a notfor-profit organization that provides support and assistance to individuals, families and community groups such as Friends of Karen, The Putnam/Northern Westchester Women's Resource Center, Support Connection, Somers Library, Veteran's Hospital, Relay for Life and more.
