The musical comedy has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor, according to a release from the Spring Street Arts Center.
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of words.
The production is directed by Paul Andrew Perez, with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin and additional material by Jay Reiss. Steve Loftus is the music director.
The cast includes Taylor Bazos, Olivia Tebsherany, Georgia Lambrakis, Julia Gastone, Georgia Lambrakis, Michael Henshaw, Nicole Marks Kaufman, Ethan Karas, with special guest: Michael Florio.
