The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester formed in the late 1930's as a positive outlet to inspire and enable young people, especially those who needed to realize their full potential as responsible, caring citizens.

Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester serves more than 1,700 kids each year and much of the work it does enhances the community.

This past holiday season its teen service groups assembled and delivered holiday food baskets to 50 local families. It also partnered with the Junior League of Northern Westchester, The Gym of Armonk and Bicycle World in Mount Kisco, as well as many other generous individuals and organizations, to ensure that hundreds of local children and their families had a holiday filled with gifts and necessities that would not have been possible without this collaborative community-wide effort.

It has welcomed thousands of community members as volunteers at the club and watched the facility become a staple in the Mount Kisco community.

The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester is planning a series of events that will showcase the rich history of the club and the memorable stories of the people who have passed through their doors including:

Alumni event in February: An event that will honor long-time alumni staff members Barbara Cutri, Dennis Munson and Betty Lou Ostrye.

Youth of the Year Reception, March 2014: An event that will recognize exceptional club members

Humanitarian Award Dinner, June 7, 2014: A gala celebration that will honor 75 years of serving children.

Golf Tournament, September, 2014: Golf at the Glen Arbor course in support of the Boys & Girls Club.

Family Fun Day, September, 2014: a day of free fun-filled family activities for the entire community.

Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester is reaching out to former club members, staff and volunteers to include them in the anniversary celebrations.
