Tuesday, Oct. 9
First-Grade Book Club: 3:30 - 4:15 p.m. The club will meet every Tuesday through Oct. 16. Children read a story, have a snack and do a craft or game. It’s at the Somers Library, 82 Primrose St. in Reis Park.
Somers Board of Education Workshop: 7 p.m. The board will meet in the Library of Somers Middle School, 250 Route 202, Somers.
Jewelry For a Cause: Somers resident Kathy Procario, director and founding design consultant of Willow House, is donating a percentage of October jewelry sales to support breast cancer awareness and research. Click here for the website.

Second Grade Book Club: 3:30 - 4:15 p.m. The club meets every Wednesday to read a book, have a snack and do a craft or game. New members are always welcome at any time. It’s at the Somers Library, 82 Primrose St. in Reis Park.
Meeting of the Somers Planning Board: 7:30 p.m. The board will meet at the Somers Town House, 335 Route 202, Somers.
Meeting of the Somers Booster Club: 7 p.m. The club will meet at Somers High School, 120 Primrose St., Lincolndale.
Meeting of the Somers Library Board: 7:30 p.m. The board will meet in the Somers Library, 82 Primrose St. in Reis Park.
Thursday, Oct. 11
Somers Education Foundation Golf Outing: Check-in begins at 11 a.m., with a box lunch at 11:30 a.m. The shotgun start is at noon. Pre-dinner refreshments start in the clubhouse at 5:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The $290 per person price includes green fees (with a cart), lunch, dinner and prizes. Fourth- & Fifth-Grade Girls Book Club: 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Girls will read and discuss a book, share a snack and do an activity once a month on Thursdays. Bus transportation is available from the Somers Intermediate School (Bus K). It’s at the Somers Library, 182 Primrose St. in Reis Park.
Somers Town Board Regular Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The board will meet at the Somers Town House, 335 Route 202, Somers.
