Monday, Dec. 24

Somers Schools: Schools are closed for the week and will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Somers Library: The library is closed Monday and Tuesday.

Make a Clay Snowman: 1 p.m. Even if there is plenty of snow outside, it’s fun to stay cozy indoors and mold your own snowman from clay. The program is for children age 5 and older. Register online or call (914) 232-5717. The Somers Library, 82 Primrose St., Somers.

Thursday, Dec. 27

Storytime Stage Performance: 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to hear classic tales and original stories dramatized by professional storytellers. The program is limited to Somers residents. Somers Library, 82 Primrose St., Somers.

A Lionel Christmas: 2 to 4:30 p.m. This is the last opportunity this year to see the  seasonal exhibit of Lionel Trains at the Somers Historical Society. For information, call (914) 277-4977 or email somershistoricalsoc@yahoo.com. The exhibit is on the third floor of the Elephant Hotel, 335 Route 202, Somers.

Zumba: 7 p.m. Party yourself into shape at a Zumba Fitness class. It’s only $5 per class and there is no contract commitment. For more information call Donna at (914) 523-2893 or go to www.somerscc.org. Classes are at the Somers Community Center, 34 Hillandale Drive, Shenorock.
