SOMERS, N.Y. – Lots of Halloween parties, plus some belly laughs, are among the events planned in Somers this weekend.
Friday, Oct. 26
Kids’ Halloween Party: 6:30 p.m. A costume contest, haunted house, games and more will entertain the kids at this party, run by Girl Scout Troops 1454 and 2801. A portion of each child’s $5 cover charge will go to Somers’ Special Education PTA. There’s a bake sale, too. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times. Halloween Costume Party - The Walking Dead: 7 to 11 p.m. Come in costume and enjoy live music, refreshments, prizes and fun. Admission is $40 per person, to benefit the Lasdon Conservancy. For tickets, call 914-864-7268. The party takes place at Lasdon Park and Arboretum on Route 35 in Somers.

Zumba: 9:30 a.m. Party yourself into shape at a Zumba Fitness class. It’s only $5 per class and there is not contract commitment. For more information call Donna at (914) 523-2893 or go to www.somerscc.org. Classes are at the Somers Community Center, 34 Hillandale Drive, Shenorock.
Aunt B’s Halloween Costume Contest: Visit Aunt B's Yogurt Bar in your costume between Oct. 27 and Oct. 31. Your photo will be posted on the store’s website. Voting takes place from Nov. 6 to Nov. 10. The costume with the most votes wins a gift card to the shop. Aunt B’s Yogurt Bar is at 325 Route 100 in the Somers Towne Center.
SAT Practice: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A practice session for high school students will be offered at the Somers Library. Participants must bring pencils and a calculator. For more information call 914-232-5717 or email jreilly@wlsmail.org. The Somers Library is at 82 Primrose St., Somers.

Comedy Night: Doors open at 6 p.m. for refreshments; the show starts at 8 p.m. It’s the 3rd Annual Comedy Night, sponsored by the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Featured comedians will include Richie Byrne, Buddy Fitzpatrick and Tina Giorgi. Tickets are $30 per person. It’s at Somers High School, 120 Primrose St., Somers.
Patty Cass Annual Benefit: 8 p.m. to midnight. (check-in at 7:30 p.m.) Meet the neighborhood goblins and ghosts and have a great evening of fun, including dancing, food, beer and wine, along with a cash bar. There will be a costume contest and raffle prizes, all to benefit the Patrick Casabona, Jr. Education Foundation. It’s at the Somers Pointe Golf Club in Heritage Hills, 1000 West Hill Drive, Somers. Last Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s the final day for this season’s market. Fresh produce, meats, cheese, soaps, candles, honey, maple syrup, flowers, fish and delicacies from local farmers and artisans are available. Muscoot Farm is on Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35 in Somers.
Muscoot Boo Walk: noon to 3 p.m. Take the kids in their Halloween costumes to Muscoot’s scavenger hunt along the Boo Trail. Everyone who completes the search gets a treat. Muscoot Farm is on Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35 in Somers.
Annual Halloween Costume Parade: 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Community YMCA of Northern Westchester hosts its 16th annual costume parade. The line up starts at the Somers Towne Center on Route 100.
