Monday, Sept. 10
North Salem Lions Club Golf Outing: 9:30 a.m. - 11 p.m. The 45th anniversary and golf outing of the North Salem Lions Club will be held in memory of New York Fire Department Lt. Vincent Halloran, who lost his life saving others on 9/11. The day starts with continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and continues through cocktails and dinner. Not Tonight, Deer: 6 - 7 p.m. Learn how to outwit the deer, voles, groundhogs and other cute invaders. Somers Public Library, 82 Primrose St., in Reis Park.
Tuesday, Sept. 11
First-Grade Book Club: 3:30 - 4:15 p.m. The club will meet every Tuesday through Oct. 16. Children read a story, have a snack and do a craft or game. Somers Public Library, 82 Primrose St., in Reis Park.
Middle School Book Club: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. The club meets every Tuesday to discuss books, play games and hang out. New members are welcome at any time. Somers Public Library, 82 Primrose St., in Reis Park.
Meeting of the Somers Board of Education: 7 p.m. The board will meet in the library at Somers Middle School, 250 Route 202.
Wednesday, Sept. 12
Hammond Exhibit: Noon - 4 p.m. This is the first day of the new exhibit “Passage to Angkor” by photographer Kenro Izo. An artist’s reception will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. Admission to the museum and gardens is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors. Children 12 and under are free. Hammond Museum & Stroll Garden, 28 Deveau Road, North Salem.
Meeting of the Somers Library Board: 7:30 p.m. The board will meet at the Somers Public Library, 82 Primrose St., in Reis Park.
Meeting of the Somers Planning Board: 7:30 p.m. The board will meet at the Somers Town House, 335 Route 202.
Thursday, Sept. 13
Little Farmers at Muscoot: 10 - 11 a.m. or 1 - 2 p.m. Children ages 3 and 4 are invited to learn about Muscoot’s farm animals through a hands-on experience. A different animal will be featured each week. Registration is required. The fee is $10 per child. To register, go to the website.
Thursday Night Live at Le Fontane: This popular Italian restaurant offers live piano music at dinnertime every Thursday evening. Le Fontane is on Route 100 in Somers.
