Fundamentals of Charcoal Drawing: 12:30 p.m. Artist Mark Cassata will teach a four-week workshop for adults about creating art with charcoal. Future classes will be Jan. 11, 18 and 25. DJ Dance Night at Traditions 118: 10 p.m. Go to dinner at Traditions and stay for the music and dancing, or just drop in later for dance night. Reservations are suggested but not required. Beaks & Feet, What Do They Eat? 1 to 3 p.m. Learn which birds must fly south for the winter and which can endure a Northern climate. Learn while you make a feeder for the year-round residents. It’s at Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35 in Somers.
Winter Art Classes: Classes begin Jan. 22 for six-week sessions in drawing, painting, pottery, and photography for all levels of adults and for children ages 6 and up. Registration is now open.
