Yorktown's Support Connection Offers Cancer Services

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown's Support Connection is providing free support services this month for those affected by breast and ovarian cancer.

Groups at the nonprofit organization focus on topics pertaining to living with cancer through all stages of diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment. The groups are offered in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess, and by toll-free teleconference. The following support groups are scheduled Westchester in December:

At the Support Connection Office in Yorktown:

1) Young Women’s Breast Cancer Support Group: For women who have or had breast cancer at a young age. Wed., Dec. 11, at 7 pm

2) Breast Cancer Support Group: Tues., Dec. 17, at 7 pm

At Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor:

 Breast Cancer Support Group: Mon., Dec. 16, at 7 pm

At the Yorktown Jewish Center in Yorktown Heights: Advanced Stage Cancer Support Group: For women living with recurrence of breast or ovarian cancer, with advanced stage and/or metastasis. Fri., Dec. 13, at 12:30 pm
