SOMERS, N.Y. – Nearly 250 cap-and-gowned Somers High School seniors marched onto Primrose Field on Wednesday to the accompaniment of “Pomp and Circumstance,” played by the Somers High School Symphonic Band. The occasion was the 71st annual commencement ceremony.
Salutatorian Ryan Matsumoto reminded his classmates that “you only live once. Encourage yourself to take a leap of faith, and do something out of your comfort zone.” He added, “Be yourself and be unique.
