Kingston, a senior faculty member at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City, will teach the eight-week course beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8. In addition to having acted in San Francisco, London, Stockholm and New York, Kingston is a founding member of the Neighborhood Group Theater and a director.

Kingston caught the eye of The Schoolhouse's Artistic Director Pamela Moller Kareman who knew of his work at The Neighborhood Playhouse and cast him in "The Seafarer."

"Training the next -- or current -- generation of actors is something we want to do more of at the Schoolhouse," said Executive Director James Shearwood.

The class will consist of exercises and scene work appropriate to each student's level of experience, according to a release. Tuition for the 8-week class is $290.

There is limited scholarship assistance available. Interested students are asked to contact The Schoolhouse Theater at classes@schoolhousetheater.org or 914-277-8477.
