Cross River Resident Jeffrey Tambor Wins Golden Globe

CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- Cross River resident and actor Jeffrey Tambor, best known for his roles as Hank Kingsley on "The Larry Sanders Show" as well as George Bluth Sr. and Oscar Bluth on "Arrested Development," won the Golden Globe award for Best Actor in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy in the awards ceremony held Jan. 11.

Tambor won for his role as a family man transitioning to a woman in Amazon's "Transparent." In his speech he thanked the transgender community for their courage and inspiration.

According to a report by lohud.com, the San Francisco native and his family moved from Los Angeles to Westchester in 2013, partly because of the changing seasons.
