The event is moderated by another Westchesterite -- Waccabuc's Philip Kunhardt, who is the center's founding director.
The "Conversation," as it is being billed, is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 with RSVPs due by April 10 (space is limited).
Robinson, the author of nine books, including the biography "Georgia O’Keeffe: A Life," will talk about O'Keeffe through the lens of some of the crises she went through and the way she surmounted them.
"I think those challenges reveal her strength as a woman and an artist," she said.
The longtime Westchester resident -- she moved to Manhattan six years ago after spending 20 in Katonah -- has long been inspired by the area. Her most recent book, "Sparta," is set there.
"We lived on a dirt road in an old farmhouse," she said. "It was a very important part of my life then and very peaceful."
Robinson will return to Katonah in September when she speaks about the Iraq War at St. Mary's Church.
