NWH's Sibling Class Helps Families Prepare For Their Newest Members

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- While welcoming a new child into the family is often an exciting experience, for older siblings it can also be a time of great change. That's why Northern Westchester Hospital hosts specially designed Sibling Classes each month to help all families prepare for their newest member.

This month, the class will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. at the Northern Westchester Hospital Conference Center. The seminar will help older siblings prepare for the birth of a new brother or sister. The class is designed for both children and parents, and includes a video on becoming a sibling, lessons on diaper changing, a tour of the nursery and a snack. The event is designed for children ages 2 ½ and older.
