Abandoned Cats In North Salem Up For Adoption

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – When an emaciated kitten showed up in Tricia Dupree’s backyard, followed soon after by a larger, obviously hungry cat, Dupree realized that her next door neighbors had moved away and left the cats behind.

Unable to adopt the cats because of family allergies, Dupree has been feeding them, giving them water and checking on their welfare at least twice a day.

Dupree's phone calls to the local animal shelters have proved fruitless. The Putnam Humane Society has a full house and it is standing-room-only at the Ridgefield Shelter.

So Dupree is turning to her neighbors for help. Is there someone out there who would like a pair of very gentle, friendly felines, abandoned by their humans?

Please call Tricia Dupree at (914) 299-6469 or email angels4@aol.com
