Baldwin Place's Gil Alba Named President Of Detectives Group

BALDWIN PLACE, N.Y. – Longtime Baldwin Place resident Gil Alba recently was sworn in as president of the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State.

Alba formally was sworn in Feb. 5 at the Old Castle Pub & Restaurant on West 54th Street in New York City.

Alba created his company, Alba Investigations Inc., in 1998.

Before becoming a private investigator and security consultant, Alba attained the highest investigative rank – first-grade detective – in the New York City Police Department.

During his career with the department, he worked with the Major Case Squad and the FBI/NYPD Violent Crime Task Force.

Alba is a regular guest on major news networks, including Fox News, CNN, CNN International, BBC and PBS.

He often is asked to give private and public insights when tragedies, such as school shootings, mass shootings, missing persons and terrorist acts happen.

Alba also has been honored as “Investigator of the Year” by the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State.
