The new engine, which replaces one damaged in a firehouse fire, was called into action within just a few days when a resident let firefighters know a large tree was blocking Tood Road North in Lewisboro.

Engine 138's crew loaded up and went to check on the report and sure enough, there was a very large tree blocking the roadway. The Town of Lewisboro Highway Department was notified to remove the tree.

The call marked the first alarm for the new Engine 138.
