Enea was recognized for his distinguished achievement, dedication to the legal profession, service to the public, and commitment to the organized bar. He has spent three decades protecting the rights of seniors, the disabled and their families. Named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the Above the Bar Awards, Enea’s practice areas include elder law; Medicaid planning and applications; special needs planning; wills, trusts and estates; guardianships and estate litigation.

“Selection as a Fellow of the New York Bar Foundation is an outstanding honor. I am proud to be recognized by my peers, particularly for work that I find so personally rewarding,” said Enea.

As Foundation ambassadors, Fellows exemplify the spirit of caring and sharing by demonstrating their belief that the practice of law is a helping profession.

“Fellows represent one percent of the New York State Bar Association membership. Being nominated and elected is a notable achievement,” said Emily F. Franchina, chair of the Fellows.

The Foundation is a nonprofit, philanthropic organization with a mission of advancing service to the public, improvements in the administration of justice, legal research and education, high standards of professional ethics, and public understanding of legal heritage. Enea is president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation, a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association, and a past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section.

He was named Best Lawyers’ 2015 Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains; a Top 25 “Super Lawyer” in Westchester County; and is an “AV” Rated Preeminent Attorney (Martindale-Hubbell, since 2002).
