Enea, who is also a managing partner at Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano in White Plains, received the honor as part of the Above the Bar Awards, held on June 6 at Pace Law School, according to a news release. About 200 lawyers, judges and elected officials attended the seventh annual event that recognizes "outstanding legal work in the Westchester business community," according to the release.
Enea was honored for "his legal accomplishments, leadership qualities and outstanding success in the field of elder law," according to the release.
“It is always an honor to be recognized by my peers and colleagues – especially for work that I find so personally rewarding,” said Enea in the release. He has spent thirty years helping to protect the rights of seniors and the disabled.
"A strong leader in the Westchester legal community, Mr. Enea is the immediate past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section," representatives said in the release.
Enea is a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is a past president of the organization’s New York Chapter. In addition to being named Westchester’s Leading Elder Care Attorney, Enea also garnered recognition for other peer-review designations including Westchester’s Top 25 “Super Lawyers” and “Best Lawyer” (Best Lawyers in America, 2011-2013), according to the release. Enea is also a member of the Somers Board of Ethics and the Business Development Board of the Hudson Valley Bank.
