Blood Drive In North Salem Honors Boys Killed In Hurricane Sandy

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The New York Blood Center will be hosting its 2nd annual community blood drive in memory of Jack Baumler and Michael Robson on Monday, Oct. 27, from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the North Salem High School Library, 230 June Road.

Participants must be between 16 and 75 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. People over age 76 may donate with permission from their physician. Donors who are 16 years old must have parental permission. Participants must eat and be well hydrated before donating.  

Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can also be scheduled with Joanne Leuschner at 914-621-1696. 

Jack, 11, and Michael, 13, were killed when a tree fell on the Baumler's home in North Salem during Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.
