Spotlighting Bruce Apar: Yorktown Daily Voice Community Advisor

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Bruce Apar, a Yorktown Daily Voice community advisor, has spent his career letting people know what's going on in their community.

Community advisors provide the Daily Voice with tips for local news and events.

Apar is chief content officer of Pinpoint Marketing & Design, a Google Partner Agency, whose clients include Camp Nabby, Paramount Center for the Arts, Franzoso Contracting, and Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors.

He contributes commentary and articles to several periodicals, including Yorktown News and Westchester Magazine. He serves on the boards of Yorktown Athletic Club and Yorktown Small Business Association.

From 2006 to February 2015, he was with Chase Media Group, where he served as editor-in-chief and publisher of North County News, and had various other positions in content, social media and marketing.

Apar is founding president of Yorktown Organizations United (aka YOUnited) and Harrison Apar Field of Dreams Foundation. In 2010, he had the dual honors of being named Citizen of the Year by the Yorktown Lions Leo Club while the Apar Foundation was named Organization of the Year by the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce.

In his spare time, Apar is a stage and screen actor. He appeared in the independent film, “Dope Fiend,” named “Best Feature” at the Newark Film Festival in September 2016, and that same month co-starred in the “Best Play” winner, “The Late Gordon Kaplan,” at the annual Aery 20/20 One-Act Festival in Philipstown. 

He currently can be seen in the full-length drama “Primer,” an entry in the Winterfest Theater Festival at Hudson Guild Theater in Manhattan.
