Man Charged In Southeast With Driving Drunk With Children In Car

SOUTHEAST, N.Y. – New York State Police arrested Kleber C. Rodriguez-Guzman, 35, of Danbury, Conn., on charges of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra's Law, a Class E Felony, on Sunday.

Rodriguez-Guzman was driving with two child passengers under the age of 16, state police said.

Troopers stopped the vehicle Rodriguez-Guzman was operating on Danbury Road because of erratic operation, police said. While interviewing Rodriguez-Guzman, officers observed clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop, police said.

Rodriguez-Guzman provided a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .14 percent.  He was arraigned before the Town of Southeast Court and is schedule to reappear in court on Aug. 11.
