Final Amtrak Derailment Victims ID'd Include Real Estate Exec

PHILADELPHIA -- All victims of the deadly Amtrak train derailment have now been identified following the discovery of the body of the eighth and final victim Thursday.

The victims are: Navy midshipman Justin Zemser, 20, of Rockaway Beach, Queens; Laura Finamore, 47, of Manhasset on Long Island, managing director for real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield; ApprenNet online learning start-up CEO Rachel Jacobs, 39, of PhiladelphiaAssociated Press video software architect Jim Gaines, 48; Wells Fargo senior vice president Abid Gilani, 55, a native of Canada who lived in Bethesa, Md;  Derrick Griffith, 42, a dean at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn; Italian businessman Giuseppe Piras, 40; and Maryland resident Bob Gildersleeve, 45, who worked for an environmental engineering firm.

Zemser was on break and returning to his home in Queens. He was a wide receiver on Navy's sprint football team and student government president at Channel View High School in Queens.

Officials believe all 243 people aboard the train have now been accounted for, including the five crew members, who all survived.

Amtrak service between New York and Philadelphia remains suspended. There is limited service between New York and Boston.

Amtrak is hoping to restore at least limited service by Monday, CEO Joe Boardman announced Thursday afternoon, adding full service could resume on Tuesday.
