JetBlue Westchester Flight Has Emergency Landing After Smoke In Cockpit

A plane that took off from the Westchester County Airport had to make an emergency stop following reports of smoke in the cockpit.

Approximately 100 passengers were forced to make an emergency landing in South Carolina from a Florida-bound JetBlue flight at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

No injuries were reported. Passengers were reportedly deplaned via emergency chutes, according to NBC New York. The plane was originally heading to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
