Man, 19, Charged With DWI In Route 6 Stop

CARMEL, N.Y. – State police in Carmel arrested a Mahopac man for driving while intoxicated on Saturday.

Michael J. Carey Jr., 19, was arrested after troopers at the Mobil station along Route 6 observed his vehicle for about 15 minutes.

Carey was arrested after troopers approached his car to perform a welfare check, and he got out of his Volkswagen to identify himself.

He was issued traffic tickets for an appearance at Carmel Town Court on Aug. 25.
