Man Stopped For Driving 80 MPH On I-84 Charged With DWI

CARMEL, N.Y. – New York State Police arrested a Carmel man on Jan. 2 for DWI.

Lucas T. Gilchrist, 27, was stopped for driving over 80 miles per hour on I-84. A breath test revealed Gilchrist’s Blood Alcohol Content was .24 percent, three times the illegal limit of intoxication.

He was charged with aggravated DWI after police learned of his prior conviction of DWI within the last 10 years.

He was ordered to appear before the Town of Southeast Justice Court on Jan. 15.
