POCANTICO HILLS, N.Y. – First Lady Michelle Obama will return to Pocantico Hills this Sunday for a campaign fundraiser at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a campaign official said Wednesday.

The fundraiser benefits the Obama Victory Fund, which is a joint fundraising committee comprised of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties.

The event includes a brunch reception. Tickets start at $1,500.

This won't be the first time Obama has visited the Stone Barns campus. The First Lady and 31 other first ladies toured the farm in September 2010 to promote healthy eating. You can view photos from her last visit on the Stone Barns' website.

The Blue Hill at Stone Barns restaurant also has ties to the Obama Administration. Co-owner Dan Barber sits on the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.

The Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a nonprofit farm and education center that works to promote public awareness and a healthy and sustainable food system.

"Executive Chef and Co-Owner Dan Barber opened Blue Hill at Stone Barns in 2004 with David Barber and Laureen Barber in Pocantico Hills. The restaurant uses food from locally-grown farms, including the Stone Barns Center where the restaurant is located.

The restaurant's main dining room seats 75, with 64 other seats available in the private dining room. Diners are presented with a list of ingredients from the field and market instead of a menu.

More of OUR tax dollars being wasted. Any excuse to get campaign money for her husband.

Carolynj:

What in the world? A little respect people. I don't agree w the campaign fundraising portion (for any candidate) but she has nothing but the kids' best interest at heart. Geez.

cjmesq:

Awesome. She can dictate to us what we should eat, and what we should be feeding our kids in school, whilst she chows down on whatever junk she eats off camera.

Can't wait until November, when she and her husband get a White House eviction notice.

valhallavoice:

Nice optic, fundraising on the Rockefeller estate and posing with the family dog, Dinner. Oh, I mean Bo. Perhaps she will have time to visit the other Mt. Pleasant attraction, International Terror Target and Family Fun Park, Kensico Dam Plaza.

Polish Heritage Day is this Sunday she can sample the Perogies. Or she can come back for Illegal Alien heritage day in September.
