Raymond Sanchez, superintendent of schools, on behalf of the school district, recognized Fulton for his role with the center and all he has done for the school district and the children in the community.
The Center is actively involved in partnerships with the greater Ossining Public Schools, Communities That Care, Ossining Chamber of Commerce, Woodfield Cottage (a youth detention center) and the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island. The mission of the Center is to provide after-school programs for students in the greater Ossining area and for incarcerated youth in Westchester County. Programs are provided free of charge. Since inception in 2009 the Center has created and implemented programs in Leadership, Conflict Resolution without Violence, School to Career Mentoring, Peer Mediation, Homework Assistance, Nutrition and Music. To date the Center has served over 1,300 students.
