The wayward bruin may, or may not, be the one seen by a South Salem man last week, as reported by Daily Voice.
Police said that that bear was roaming around Smith Ridge Road on the east side of town.
The bear had hightailed it back to the woods by the time officers arrived.
According to lohud.com, the latest sightings occurred on Old Post Road and Woodland Court South.
Police were notified but said they have not been able to located the creatures, the lohud.com story said.
A South Salem man who lives off of Smith Ridge Road reported seeing a large black bear in his backyard on Wednesday, Lewisboro Police confirmed to Daily Voice.
