SOMERS, N.Y. A man arrested Wednesday in the woods at Reis Park and accused of stealing a womans cell phone from her car has now been accused of additional crimes.
The New York State Police said Alexander Matos, 29, of New York City had several stolen credit cards and a stolen iPod. One of the stolen cards belonged to a person whose other stolen credit card was used to purchase a $400 gift card at the 7-Eleven in Katonah, police said.
The police also said that Matos has acknowledged unlawful entry into the Van Tassel House, 98 Primrose St., Somers, on May 15.
Matos was charged with one count of second-degree forgery and three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, all felonies; and third-degree criminal trespass, fifth-degree possession of stolen property and petty larceny, all misdemeanors.

Assault on Teacher: Two juvenile residents of the Lincoln Hall School for Boys were accused Thursday, May 17, of third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. The incident is alleged to have begun with an argument between the two boys, interrupted by a teacher, who then suffered facial injuries and had his glasses broken. The juveniles were arraigned in White Plains Family Court and released back to Lincoln Hall.
