Police: Somers Man Leaves Toddler Alone In Car In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Somers resident Christopher Loscher was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child after leaving his 2-year-old son alone in a parked car Tuesday, Oct. 15, Yorktown police said.

Loscher, 53, was reported by a motorist who witnessed him leaving the child alone in his vehicle in parked in the CVS parking lot at 2000 Commerce St. The officer sent to the scene conducted an investigation and confirmed the defendant had left the child in the car alone for “several minutes” while shopping, police said.

Loscher is due to appear in Yorktown court on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
