Putnam Investigator Testifies In False Confession Trial

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A former Putnam County investigator testified in court on Friday, Oct. 17, about claims he forced a confession out of a teenager accused of rape and murder in 1989, according to News 12 Westchester.

Daniel Stephens administered a polygraph test to Jeffrey Deskovic in 1990, when Deskovic was 16. Deskovic claims that Stephens' line of questioning and the polygraph helped coerce Deskovic into giving a false confession, News 12 Westchester reported. 

Stephens claims he never did anything to send Dskovic to prison, News 12 Westchester said.
