SOMERS, N.Y. – The registration deadline for the November election is Oct. 12. If you are a new voter, or if you need to re-register, the New York League of Women Voters will be on hand Tuesday to guide you through the process.

Locally, you can go to DeCicco’s Market at the intersection of routes 121 and 35 in Cross River, where the league will be set up starting at 10 a.m.

You also can register between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays at the Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas St., White Plains.

To facilitate registration, the board will have a table at the Somers Town House, 335 Route 202, Somers, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10 and from noon to 9 p.m. Oct. 13. Although the deadline for registration is Oct. 12, applications will be accepted Oct. 13 at town hall only.
