Rotarian Doug Abdelnour, owner of Bedford Photo-Graphic in Somers, purchased the two large screens, programmed them to format JPEG files, trained staff to update both screens and networked the screens so that updating could be easily done.

According to library director Pat Miller, these screens highlight the many programs the library offers to the community. The high-tech screens display information at the circulation desk and in the lobby main entrance. The lobby screen can also angle toward the front of the library so the display can easily be read 24/7.

The Rotary and Library Foundation were recognized at the “unveiling” of the screens on Nov. 20, when Library Board and staff, Town Board and Friends of the Library were also invited.
