To help the town see its way through the emergency, St. Luke’s Church has been feeding roughly 75 people every day between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. Among them are the local police, the state police, first responders, NYSEG workers and local residents. The program will continue until the emergency is over.

In addition, up to 100 people visit the church daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to get warm, have hot soup or coffee, recharge their phones and use the WiFi. If you have medications that require refrigeration, bring them to the church.

Il Forno, Le Fontane and Sweet Delites have donated hot and cold food on a daily basis. Many individuals are dropping by with donations of food, as well. The church is grateful for any donations.

St. Luke’s welcomes everyone in the area who needs assistance. The address is 331 Route 100 (at the intersection of Route 202), Somers.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also available for all Somers residents at the Heritage Hills Activity Center.
